WSLA graduate elected first woman president of the Brazilian Rowing Confederation
Magali Moreiro is the first woman to be president of the Brazilian Rowing Confederation.
Magali graduated from the Women's Sport Leadership Academy (WSLA) residential week at the University of Chichester in 2018. Since then, she has been supported by World Rowing, the international federation of the sport, to continue her development. Earlier this month, Magali was voted for by presidents of federations and the Athletes' Commission.
In reflecting upon the role of WSLA in her journey, Magali stated, "I said that my goal in rowing was to become Brazilian president and my goal became reality. This is the reason I would like to thank the support and patience from the WSLA team that was fundamental for my participation during the classes".
