Catalyst Grants

Enabling graduates of WSLA to advance the women and sport movement in their countries, regions and organisations

Grant Amount

Grants from £500 up to £1000 will be available (payable in pounds sterling)

Criteria for support

  • Initiatives must be led by a WSLA Graduate(s)

  • Initiatives must be implemented to support girls and women who face particular challenges

  • Initiatives should benefit other women in sport and contribute to the building or enhancement of the women and sport movement 

  • Initiatives should have clear timeframes and deliverables outlined 

  • Resources should include locally sourced financial/in-kind support 

Items that will not be funded

  • Conference participation costs for individuals (unless part of a clear strategy for how this achieves the primary aim of the initiative)

  • The purchasing of personal equipment (e.g. laptops)

  • Training course fees for individuals

Please note that although applications can be received throughout the year, grants will be approved and disbursed based on availability of funds.

Reporting

  • Grantees will be required to submit updates, pictures and other communication material during the initiative

  • Grantees are required to submit a report no more than five weeks after the initiative has been completed

  • Learnings from the Catalyst grants will be shared widely to encourage good practice

  • By submitting updates, pictures and a report you are agreeing that these, or extracts from these, can be used on the AWF, WSLA or University of Chichester website. Any images of children under the age of 18 must have consent from parents/carers for them to be used.
